It seems to me Privacy is actually something we OWN. And, we've forgotten we do.

It emanates from the essence of who we are. It is not the property of anyone else other than ourselves.

It seems that 'others' who have a vested interest in wanting to exploit our personal information, together with whatever else we have a preference for, only want to do this for their own benefit. And this is the only reason they want to gain access to it, or devalue it.

It's time to assert our ownership of privacy and everything that it constitutes, as giving it away is giving away our personal power and autonomy... to whom and for what? Collectivism, sameness and enriching others.

I similarly think that privacy is a data property rights issue

Unlike most Americans under the age of 50 I remember privacy. I am 79. Younger generations have never experienced it.

My bank and credot cards and health info are not online. I do not do facebook or any of the rest. Ditto paypal zelle, venmo. Follow back on my phone and vpn takes u to a different country, and a non-existing email, an alias with a mis-spelled name. I do not do google, been off microsoft for 10 years, relocated from state to dtate to state to yet another. I dont do chlorine, fluoride, vaccines, statins, pricessed foods, utilities are not in my name.

None of this drek is necessary. U ALL gave up your privacy

I dare you to take it back.

Were you in favor of the patriot act when they were pushing that?

Hell no. Wasn't that a quarter of a century ago?

I protested during the Cuban crisis, in Selma during the civil rights protests, was amarshal and was busted at anti war demonstrations. I am a patriot to the home of the free and brave that respects dignity of all people except professional politicians...

Why did you ask?

This time is so much worse. Nothing about our current govt is righteous, there is no dignity or honesty...

People don't remember how one could do business without competitors and other interested parties watching.

If you had money invested, even your bank didn't know. You could pull it out at the last minute for a venture or purchase. You could jump on a plane using a friend's ticket and buy at auctions. Lack of privacy hurts business agility and innovation.

Of course these days with social media, traffic cams, social credit and the K shaped economy the personal costs from lost privacy are even more profound.

Thank you for continuing the fight for privacy and personal sovereignty. I stopped watching The Hash when you left and it was all cardboard cutout big business spokespeople on the show. Then I found you on YouTube. But YouTube became part of the problem. So glad to have found you on Substack.
