Nice ideas but do you have advice that specifically can be effected, beyond this vague statement?

"One of the easiest but most impactful things you can do is say no to restoring from backup.

This single decision sets the tone for your entire digital footprint. It gives you a clean slate. And it lets you rebuild on your terms."

Does this mean to turn off auto backup in the first place? Or maybe not back up at all? How does this "clean slate" magically manifest? In the event of a device crash, should one not restore from back up? If so, then why not just reset to factory settings every time we shut down our computers?
